Global settings affect Podcast Player behavior across the site. Pro adds sticky, cookie, statistics, transcript, and play-count options.
Steps
- Go to Podcast Player > Settings.
- Review the General, Design, Optimization & Security, and Advanced sections.
- Change the settings needed for the site.
- Save the settings.
- Clear caches if player scripts or styles are cached.
Pro Settings
- Keep Player Visible While Scrolling: Turns supported default or legacy players into a bottom sticky player when the active player scrolls out of view.
- Show Last Played Episode in Bottom Sticky Player: Uses a cookie to restore the currently playing episode on revisit or page navigation.
- Collect Podcast Player Stats (Beta): Tracks basic play and search statistics.
- Show Episode Transcripts (Beta): Displays transcripts when the podcast feed provides supported transcript/caption data.
- Episode play statistics threshold: Number of seconds playback must pass before a play is counted.
