We’re excited to introduce a new test feature in the Podcast Player Pro version—Listener Feedback! This feature allows you to collect valuable feedback from your listeners directly through the player.
Important Notes:
📌 Ongoing Development – This feature is still in development, so some parts may not work as expected. If you encounter any issues, please let us know, and we’ll work on resolving them.
📌 Limited Availability – Currently, this feature is only available for podcast players using a podcast feed URL. It is not available for players with imported episodes.
How It Works
You can enable listener feedback in the Podcast Player editor block, widget, or shortcode settings. Here’s how:
- A new section called “Allow User Feedback” is now available in the podcast player widget or editor block (for shortcode, refer table below). This option is disabled by default.
- Once enabled, you’ll find customization options, including:
- When the feedback prompt should appear.
- Custom messages to display at different stages.
When the feedback appears, listeners will see Thumbs Up 👍 and Thumbs Down 👎 buttons along with your custom message.
✅ Thumbs Up: If a listener clicks the Thumbs Up, they’ll see a thank you message, which you can customize. You can also add a link—for example, to your Apple Podcasts review page—encouraging them to leave a positive review.
❌ Thumbs Down: If a listener clicks the Thumbs Down, they’ll see a short feedback form where they can share their thoughts. This helps you:
- Understand what listeners don’t like.
- Provide a space for feedback, which may reduce negative public reviews.
The feedback is sent to your WordPress admin email (found in Dashboard > Settings > General > Administration Email Address).
