I am Surendra Mohnot, operating as Easy Podcast Pro, based in India. This policy explains how information is handled in connection with Podcast Player for Wix, related support enquiries and these standalone Wix policy pages. Contact me at contact@easypodcastpro.com.
This policy applies specifically to the Wix app. Using the app does not require an Easy Podcast Pro website account, an external subscription, a payment or a licence key. The current Wix app is free.
1. Information used by the app
The app uses Wix’s site ID and app instance ID to identify a site and its app installation. For a duplicated site, Wix can also supply an origin instance ID linking it to the original installation. The app uses the public RSS feed selected by the site owner and the owner’s settings to provide the player. It does not request the owner’s email address to connect or play a feed.
The app stores the following in app-owned collections on the Wix site:
- The selected feed URL and public podcast metadata.
- Episode information and notes obtained from that feed.
- Feed-check status, refresh information and saved podcast archives used to serve the player.
- Installation-wide feed-check preferences.
Presentation choices are stored as widget settings. Public podcast material can contain names, biographies and other personal information supplied by its publisher.
Listeners do not need to create an account to listen. The current app does not implement its own listener-account system, advertising-tracking system or listening-statistics feature. This does not mean that Wix, a site owner, a network provider or a podcast host receives no information when handling a request.
2. Wix infrastructure and operational information
The app runs on Wix infrastructure and uses Wix services for authentication, app hosting and app data. Its podcast archive is not stored in a separate database on a server operated by me.
Wix and platform SDK services may process diagnostic, security, request and performance information to operate and protect the app and platform. Wix’s own processing is described in its Privacy Policy and applicable platform agreements.
3. Podcast feeds, audio, artwork and external links
To build and update the saved podcast archive, the app requests the selected public RSS feed from its host. That host receives normal server-request information. During source checks, the app uses Cloudflare’s DNS service to resolve the feed host name. This lookup concerns the host name and is not a feature for recording individual episode plays. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Listeners’ browsers request audio and artwork from the relevant media hosts or the external artwork URL selected by the site owner. The receiving hosts can obtain IP addresses, browser information and other normal connection information. The app does not upload or host the podcast’s audio files.
Following a podcast link, sharing an episode or downloading linked audio may involve another provider. Those providers have their own privacy practices. A site owner should identify the hosts and other services used on their site in the privacy information they provide to visitors.
4. Cookies and browser storage
The current app does not implement its own listener cookie, persistent browser-storage feature, advertising tracker or listening-history database.
Wix, the website displaying the player and external media providers may use cookies or similar technologies for their own services. This policy does not replace the relevant website’s cookie notice or consent controls. A site owner is responsible for the other integrations and consent tools they enable.
Information about visits to these standalone policy pages is addressed separately in section 7.
5. Copies of Wix sites
When a site is duplicated, the app can restore the saved podcast archive and feed-check preferences to the new installation using the original installation identified by Wix. Widget settings may also be copied by Wix.
The destination then has its own installation data. Changes to its podcast settings do not update the source installation through this restoration process.
6. Support enquiries
When you email me for help or make a privacy request, I use the information you provide to respond and address the issue. This may include your name, email address, Wix site address, RSS URL, screenshots, relevant technical information and the contents of your message.
Please do not send passwords, app secrets, access tokens, full payment-card details or confidential information that is not needed for your request.
I do not treat an app installation or support enquiry as permission to send unrelated promotional messages. Information voluntarily supplied in correspondence is separate from information used automatically by the app.
7. Visits to these policy pages
These standalone policy pages are hosted with Hostinger. Hosting systems can process normal connection information, such as IP addresses, request times, browser details and error information, to deliver and protect the pages. Hostinger’s automatic backups can include website files, databases and logs. See Hostinger’s Privacy Policy.
The website hosting these pages uses Koko Analytics. Where analytics is enabled on a policy page, it is used to understand aggregate visits, pageviews and referring websites. It runs on the website rather than sending analytics to a separate analytics service. This website analytics is separate from the Wix player and does not add listening statistics to the app.
Koko Analytics supports Cookie, Cookieless and None tracking modes. Cookie mode uses _koko_analytics_pages_viewed, which expires at midnight in the website’s time zone, within 24 hours. Cookieless and None modes do not use that cookie. See the developer’s cookie information. Any optional tracking requiring consent must respect applicable consent requirements; a cookieless mode does not by itself remove every privacy or device-access obligation.
You can manage or remove cookies through your browser settings and use any applicable consent controls presented on the page. Website hosting and analytics described here do not mean that the app’s Wix podcast archive is transferred into this website’s database.
8. Responsibilities and legal grounds
The Wix site owner chooses the podcast, artwork and other content displayed on their site. The owner is responsible for having the necessary rights to publish that material, providing appropriate privacy information to visitors and obtaining any permissions or consents their use requires. Do not put confidential credentials into URLs intended for use in a public player.
For personal information processed solely to provide an owner’s configured player on their instructions, I act on the owner’s behalf to the extent applicable data-protection law treats that activity as processing. For my own support correspondence, security administration and legal records, I determine the purposes and act as controller. Wix’s separate roles are governed by its applicable agreements, including its User Data Processing Addendum. This privacy notice does not replace a data-processing agreement required by applicable law.
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies to processing for which I act as controller, the relevant purposes and grounds include:

Where information is processed solely on the site owner’s instructions, the owner determines the appropriate legal ground. You can withdraw consent for an activity that depends on consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
9. Disclosure and international processing
I do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be disclosed as needed to the providers described in this policy, professional advisers where necessary, or authorities where disclosure is legally required. If a contractor needs access to information to assist with a service, that access must be limited to the work and subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
I operate from India. Providers or people handling information may be located in countries other than your own. Applicable provider agreements and legally required safeguards govern those transfers. Wix’s User Data Processing Addendum describes safeguards for relevant site-visitor data. This is not a claim that every provider or transfer uses the same contractual arrangement.
Where a restricted international transfer is my responsibility, I must use a lawful mechanism applicable to that transfer. You can contact me for information about applicable safeguards and how to obtain a copy, subject to necessary redactions. Visiting a page is not a substitute for a specific consent or safeguard required by law.
10. Retention, uninstallation and deletion
The app retains its current podcast archive and refresh state to serve the player. Earlier archive revisions may remain temporarily to support an episode list already open in a browser. Cleanup occurs during later app activity, so an older revision is not guaranteed to disappear at a fixed elapsed time.
Removing a widget does not by itself delete installation data. Uninstalling the app can make its collections inaccessible while Wix retains information that can be restored on reinstallation. Uninstalling and reinstalling should not be treated as a way to permanently erase podcast data. I do not set a guaranteed retention period for Wix’s retained platform copies.
Support correspondence is retained while needed to resolve a request, maintain relevant support history, address a dispute or meet a legal obligation. Security and operational records are retained as needed to investigate incidents and protect services. Copies in website backups remain subject to the hosting provider’s backup cycle and applicable retention requirements.
For an access or deletion request, email contact@easypodcastpro.com, identify the Wix site and describe the information involved. I may request proportionate evidence of your identity or authority over the site. I will address information within my control and explain when Wix, a site owner or another provider needs to handle the request. I do not promise an immediate purge of every platform log or backup or provide a self-service erasure feature that the app does not contain.
11. Security and incident communications
I use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. The app uses Wix-verified installation identity and access controls to scope its data and settings operations. Security practices also depend on Wix and the other providers involved. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
For Wix-related incidents, I will make notifications required by applicable law and the relevant Wix agreements and provide affected users with information as required.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to the relevant data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
Contact contact@easypodcastpro.com to exercise a right. I may need to verify your identity or authority. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security or dispute-related reasons, or handled by Wix, the site owner or another provider.
I respond without undue delay and within applicable legal deadlines. GDPR and UK GDPR rights requests generally have a one-calendar-month deadline, with a notified extension where legally permitted. Where California’s CCPA applies, requests to know, correct or delete generally have a 45-calendar-day deadline, with a notified extension where permitted. Some requests require faster action. Identity checks, clarification and extensions must follow the relevant law. If I cannot comply, I will explain the reason and available complaint or review route where required.
Where an applicable US state privacy law covers the processing, additional rights may include an appeal of a denied request, limits on certain uses of sensitive information, and opting out of sale, sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising or targeted advertising. I do not discriminate against people for exercising protected privacy rights. An authorized agent can contact me, subject to proportionate authorization and identity checks.
The information categories relevant to this policy are site and installation identifiers, public podcast information, settings and refresh records, technical request information, and contact details and other information supplied in support correspondence. The sections above explain their sources, purposes, recipients and retention. Not every category is collected from every person.
I do not sell or rent personal information. Where law requires action on a recognized opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control, I will apply it to the covered processing. Such a signal is different from a general cookie preference or a universal deletion request. An independent site owner remains responsible for their own advertising, analytics and consent settings.
13. Children and podcast audiences
The player does not require a listener account or submission of a child’s name, email address or date of birth to play audio. Public podcasts may have audiences that include children. The site owner is responsible for assessing their audience and meeting applicable child-specific notice, consent and configuration requirements. Media hosts and Wix may still receive technical request information.
If you believe a child has provided me with personal information that I should not hold, contact contact@easypodcastpro.com. I will assess the circumstances and applicable rules and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.
14. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy as the app or applicable requirements change. I will show the revised date on this page and provide notice of material changes through this page and, where required, through an appropriate service notice or direct communication. Any additional notice or consent required by law will be respected.
